New IT Healthcare signs an agreement to provide IDPM for physician group

New IT Healthcare and Video Web Phone (VWP) have joined forces to provide an advanced telehomecare solution to a physician group in the metro Detroit, Michigan area. New IT will provide their Intelligent Distance Patient Monitoring (IDPM) software and VWP will provide Elanza Webiphones to be used by the patients. The project will be to manage diabetic patients of Drs. Samson Kpadenou, Gamal Zaki and Bernardo Rojas.

Empowering patients to manage their chronic illness is the major objective of the project. With a patient-centric proactive monitoring tool the doctors believe they can reduce admissions to the hospital and emergency room visits. The ability to monitor the patient’s compliance to their care plan and their medication regimen as well as the unique functionality of being able to adjust care plan and medication online is seen as the way to contain cost and to prevent exacerbation of signs and symptoms.

In a statement issued by Ken Raznick, President of VWP he stated, “ I believe that we can improve the quality of health care, reduce the cost, help a lot of people & create a WIN, WIN, situation for all!”
